I have supported the England rugby team for more years than I care to remember, either from the sofa, down the pub … or at the game itself. These days, there are a lot of England rugby products that you can buy, ranging from the England Rugby Mug to an England Rugby Calendar.
However, top of the list must be an England Rugby Shirt, either short-sleeved or the more traditional long-sleeve version. I used to buy these after a match at Twickenham but I discovered that getting home with a pristine new shirt wasn’t always so easy after a few beers (ahem). This year, I plan to buy the long-sleeve version in preparation for a trip to Rome in February 2008 to see the Six Nations game against Italy.
One of the good things about going to an away game is that the atmosphere is somewhat similiar to a home game with friendly supporters mingling in bars outside the game but it’s also quite different in other ways, Italian food and wine being one of the main differences! I’m looking forward to February already.
